Issue 8 | Bridges:

mel/inda is a genderqueer chinese american who by the day feels ever stranger, but also more human. her daily tragicomedy resides in the silences and voices of her body, the ebb and flow of her linguistics dissertation on alienation, and in the stealth assaults by her cat bibim bap. she is deep in a process of letting go of identity, and hopes her body will return in the process. she is thankful to feel and have felt deeply loved, and though she often flails, sending this love out once again as blessing and practice is her one stable sense of purpose. she is grateful to the mujadarra grrls, and the collective community in accepting this first issue by a non-arab-identified guest producer, to have granted her such a beautiful opportunity: facilitating the creation of bridges.
